Catch up on clues help?

I heard lost was a good show and started watching it online a bit after season 5 started. I was all the way caught up by right after "LaFleur" But i missed all the theories and clues people had from the beginning... can someone inform me?

in the Series Pilot episode there is a clue : a white shoe ... it is a reference to the the recurring theme of light and dark on the show.

also the white shoe was found in a tree and this is one of the white shoes Jack put on his father's corpse, which is not in the coffin where it should be, and Jack's father has been seen walking around the Island wearing those white shoes ... but how could he wear the shoes if one of the shoes is in a tree ?

this is because Jack's dead father is not walking around the jungle ... it is a phantom ... an apparition ... and avatar ... the spokesman for Jacob

yeah ... I just realized that the white shoes we see on Christian's feet cannot be real because one of hie shoes is in the tree ... I once thought I knew what that clue meant but now I know that I was wrong ... the clue proves that there are phantoms going around the Island pretending to be real but not being real at all ... a foreshadow of the Locke Phantom

k anyone know why Eko died? Was there any major foreshadowing? I remember the monster almost killed him once then changed his mind. I just was shocked and confused by that.

Ive always been under the impression that whatever group smokes is a part of did not want eko building the church...but after eko died, john picked up where eko left off...isnt that how it went? wow ... still have a ton of re-watching to do...

Oh yeah, i almost forgot about the church. Does anyone remember, what was the fate of the church? Did Locke ever finish it?

Eko told Charlie to continue building the church... I dont remember John getting involved with the church other than to build his sweatlodge. I do not think that Locke is traditionally religious. I have seen him show reverence to the island entity only.

Yeah my theory has always been that Darlton want us to guess which is which.I believe there are the folowing:
1-spirits of dead people
2-reincarnated people
3-double-ups etc..actually I'll put this into a theory..
