just a thought, not saying this is going to happen but wouldnt it be cool if it did. right so MM has taken the form of john locke, we know he is playing some sort of game with jacob. From the scene in the 1800's when she ship is approching from the way they talk it appears that they have played this game before. matt fox has said he only knows the final image of the show. wouldnt it be cool if somehow dead jacob took the form of jack in the same way MM took lockes form and when thier game is finaly over there is a scene in the future almost identical to the scene from the 1800's where all the inhabitants of the island have left and jacob via form of jack and MM via lockes form are sitting on the beach watching a yacht or something comeing twards the island and they have a very similar conversation i.e (it aways ends the same but it only ends once and everything before that is progress) signalling a new game is about to begin.

no idea lol. maybe they all die somehow. ive still got a feeling this whole "candidate" thing they were on about in the s5 finale is going to be the vessel for the new jacob. i mean why would this guy (jacob) b able to orchistrate sawyer, kate coming to the island just by visiting them when they were kids yet when it comes to sending llana and bram to warn richard about MM they turn up 2 minutes late and Jacob dies??. dosent add up. i think dying is part of jacobs plan and the candidate is going to be his new vessel.

...maybe Jacob & MM both have been using dead bodies all along...and I really think something happened when Jacob touched John. As for the candidate...It makes sense that Llana & Bram knew Jacob was going to die & would need a new body..I also don't think they would arrive too late to save him, but then again, what would be the point? Could they not have just gotten there early, showed Locke's body to everyone & been done? and then what, are they going to kill Frank?...

John died when his father pushed him out of the window. Jacob brought him back to life when he touched him. Jacob also, when he touched him, made it so that MM would come in the form of John Locke and do what he did to have Jacob killed. it was all apart of Jacob's plan.

So, could it be that MM also followed the Losties from early in their lives?...in different bodies maybe?

in the last 2 Harry Potter books it was learned that Voltemort had created horcruxes, which are things into which one hides a part of their soul so that they cannot die.

Jacob put a part of the soul of MM into John Locke when he touched him ... as well as into the others he touched ... so that MM could not die, as long as long as all of them were still alive.

so that MM would be able to assume the form of dead John Locke to make sure that Ben killed Jacob ... no one that Jacob touched could kill Jacob ... Be had never seen Jacob before so Ben was able to Kill Jacob.

a part of Jacob's soul also went into everyone he touched.

whoever is the last 2 standing of all those Jacob touched will be virtually Jacob vs. MM.

it will be Jack vs the form of John Locke.

Jack will win in the end.

long story short, MM did not follow the Losties ... rather Jacob put MM in the Losties to keep watch over him ... to keep control of him ... one person's soul hidden in 7 random bodies has no power at all ... not until one of those people dies and a part of that soul can be released to take on a new form ... in the case of LOST it was the form of John Locke.

in the case of Harry Potter it was the form of a bald guy with a snake-like nose and cat-like eyes who barely resembled his former human self.

in the case of Freddy Kruger it is a dream-monster.

and so on ... the same monster in many different forms.

jacob will be resurrected in dead lockes body...........risen from the dead like jesus..........locke was a TRUE believer; killing himself for the island...of course ben stopped him and killed him shortly thereafter.......but the fact is that locke believed he was sacrificing himself for the island to get his friends back........true faith....a real believer and follower..........not a manipulator like ben and widmore were at the leader position...........of course events will be shown to us in bits and pieces as usual, but i believe this will be the end, with locke (dead) lying in the shadow of the statue.....he who will save us all
