just a quicky arnt ben and whitmoore were playing a game? didnt the fact whitmoores goons killed his daughter 'change the rules' was whitmoore working for jacob and ben for MIB this would explain why Ben took locke to smokeys hut? perhaps ben misunderstood who he was actually working for. perhaps whotmoore is a third part of the island? jacob brings people to the island, MIB needs people on the island to help him escape, but whitmoore seems to want to kill everyone who goes to the island.
