Cant believe we didnt find out Rovers real name

i got sick of calling him the smoke monster so started calling him Rover. got the name from the monster from the tv show "the prisoner" as thats what they based our monster on. but was anyone else gutted that we never found out his name. ive seen interviews with lindelof and cuse and they said we would find out his name and it would b important. now ive scanned thru the episodes and the only time he is reffered to by name is when him and his mums skeletons are reffered to as adam and eve. if that was it then its a bit dissapointing.
