What going to happen when they see 2 Lockes? I believe that MM did not account for this in his plan and that Jacob's favor of Ilana was to deliver Locke's body to Richard and the timing was suppose to be exactly as it happened. I don't believe anyone knows about MM or has ever seen Jacob, until Ben and FLocke went in to kill Jacob. Jacob seemed to know that FLocke was MM, based upon his statement , "you've found your loophole". Who else would know of that conversation other than the two of them? So, FLocke exits with Ben and sees the crowd around Locke's body - now what? Any theories out there? Is this the trigger for the "war" that has been mentioned many times? And as FLocke mentioned to Richard, all the others would need to be "dealt with" (killed off). Is MM so sick of the "will man self destruct or not" argument with Jacob that he will go to all ends (through others of course, he cannot do anything himself - not allowed) to make sure he is right. The Island is the testing ground, a sort of place of Hope that man can prevent self annihilation, and by killing off the one who brings more people and killing everyone else so NOBODY knows it exists (as far as he knows) is it "over"? Locke's body is the chess move your opponent makes when you believe you have a checkmate all set up. It says two things - first, your opponent knew your strategy the WHOLE time and was playing into it while planning a better counter strike and 2, your opponent waited for the best moment, for him, to counter that strategy and put you in checkmate instead.
