"The Clue" in pilot episode

I have heard about this "clue" in the pilot episode for some time now. I have rewatched episode 1 again and again and I think I finally picked up on something, but Im not sure what to make of it.

When the monster shows up the second time, you can just barely make out this conversation off camera.

ROSE: "Something about that sound is VERY familiar."
SOMEONE?: "Where are you from?"
ROSE: "The Bronx."

Nothing else in that episode feels like it would be a clue. Anyone from the bronx ever seen smokey around the neighborhood? Can anyone shed some light on this?

Guess its not possible to have a lost forum without mentioning the fabled "Clue" but what Rose was referring to was the sound the monster make was just a reused sound effect they put in from a taxi receipt printer. I really doubt there was a clue though, but I will probly have to watch it again

Wait... When/ Where is it implied that there is a clue in Ep 1?

there is no clue in the pilot. There are clues but no big clue that people say the producers talk about even know they said they didnt say it
