| There are similarities. Strong religious connections. Ties to ancient civilizations. Many mysteries throughout it's run.
All of the "stand alone" episodes are just as crappy as the Nicki & Paulo episode, but the ongoing plot is so compelling.
Until I started watching LOST last year, this was absolutely, without question, the best show on television to me.

| [b]Clue: ***and here's the first thing i didn't notice before... When the other guy and Locke are carrying the injured man, Locke sees a guy running past the turbine and actually stops him to tell him to get away, it seems like to me that if the guy had kept running, he would have made it....Why did John stop him just to tell him to keep going?**** <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<Interestingly it was rumoured that that guy who got caught in the turbine was the very man who wrote Bad Twin.... | |

| error747 - I have not tried it in awhile but hulu.com had a number of BSG episodes for the current seres but not the whole series. Hulu also had a lot of the original series online, 20 - 25 episodes.
There are a number of similarities between Lost and BSG. It is a good 'fix' to watch during the long hiaitus between Lost seasons. Lot of chararacter development.
One stiking similarity was a hybrid Cylon sitting in a goo bath saying something silimlar to, "It's all happened before and it will all happen again and again and ...'. In BSG this was not time loops or time travel but simply a statement that the errors of the past will continue to be repeated in the future with the same ultimate outcome. Man never changes. Sound familiar?
BSG had unanswered questions piling up for 4 seasons similar to Lost as well. Finally a woman, dead for a season or two, pops up naked out of a resurrection goo pot and gives the answers to all those questions in 5 minutes. To some viewers this method to explain everything might have been better if the woman had not gotten dressed so quickly.
Hopefully Lost writers can do better than a verbal explanation answering the previous 5 seasons of Lost mysteries in the last 5 minutes of the series.

| BSG was a fantastic show from start to finish. There are a few stand alone episodes that you can probably bypass, but all in all... Great show! | |

| You guys have created a monster.. I'm on S2 EP8, what an amazing show! I didn't realize there was a miniseries that doubled as a pilot, i'll have to go back and watch that at some point. | |

| Oh... Thats a shame that you didnt watch the pilot first... Just dont watch anything that will reveal who the cylons are. The show would be no fun at all if you knew the whole time who the cylons were. | |
